Our Philosophy

Hudie having been working in the corporate world for quite some time, was longing to get out of that world and live a more natural life. But this did not mean that she would like to leave her whole lifestyle behind, forgeting about herself and her life and become somebody totally new.

Hanaffan on the other side was trying to live as ecological as his circumstances would let him but he would have to loosen his principals to be able to accept other people even though they are unconsciously contributing to the destruction of the world.

We had to find a middle way, that somehow would allow us to live morally satisfied but still connected to society. And that is where we are now. We still do a lot of things, that seem strange to others, but we also accept others who do not share all the same values with us or who are just not in such a privileged position as us to be able to think as much as us about what they do with their lives.

So one of our main principles is to try to keep our footprint of destruction on this planet as small as possible. This requires us on the one hand to try to understand the bad influences we actually have on this planet and then on the other hand to try to reduces these influences as good as possible.
But besides our own efforts, we also realized that only the unity of mankind can significantly change things to the better. But reach this unity first we have to create understanding. And one of the reasons for us to leave our home, our friends and our families behind to live in a foreign country was the wish to understand this world a little better. And we want to form our own opinion, independent of what we normally see on TV or on the internet. To be able to understand the situations under which people live in other countries, we think it is not enough to just “see” how people are living. We need to feel the unknown until it does not seem unknown anymore.
Therefore we are trying to learn different languages and to live for longer periods of time in different places of the world. And by doing so we already gained a much deeper understanding of different cultures, of the world itself and how we human beings are all connected to each other.
With these experiences we made so far, we believe in the equality of all human beings and cultures in every sense. We oppose any kind of cultural supremacy, because in the end we are all just human beings. We hope that with the help of Aicando.org we can convince you a little of this point of view, that what moves every human being has the same origin everywhere on earth. We all have to worry about keeping us alive, getting some food, something to drink, finding a place to sleep and of course securing the further existence of our species for the future in some way.
So surely one reason why we keep this site multilingual is to promote this idea and reach as many people as possible. As Nelson Mandela said already:”If you talk to a man in a language he understands, that goes to his head. If you talk to him in his language, that goes to his heart.”
